From cask at Grapes in Mayfair after getting a haircut at Geo F. Trumper 18.10.22. Copper amber. Dense and persistent beige head and lacing. Fine aroma and taste of pale malt, crystal malt, rye bread crusts and slightly herbal hops. Good!

29/4/2022. On the Harwich Ale Trail. Cask at the United Services Club, Dovercourt. Pours clear dark amber/brown with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma of fruit, caramel, malt, sweet biscuit. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Quite watery, average carbonation. So so.

Cask at the Corstorphine Inn. Pours clear dark copper with a thin single-cream-like head. Aromas of vanilla and caramel. Taste is sweet toffee up front, faint fruit cake. Sweet finish. Not bitter enough for me.

Cask-conditioned at Albion, Portishead 4 March 2022. Amber in colour, with a frothy, white, head. An easy drinking pale ale, with some Greene King house yeast character, touch of caramel and stone fruit, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask at Three Cups, half pint shared with Finn. Bright copper coloured body, fair lacing from an off-white, stable head. Moderate bread and caramel-fruity nose. Malt-forward taste character of caramel and dried fruits. Fair bittersweet ending, clean, but a bit thin on the swallow. Quite alright. (Bedford 18.11.2021).
