Cask (handpump) @Wig and Pen, Oxford. Clear amber brown colour, small but steady beige head, heavy lacing. Aroma roasted malts, caramel, rye, dark bread. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, toffee, dark bread. Sweetbitter aftertaste, light spicy and raisin notes, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, decent but not that special.

500ml bottle kindly shared by Finn. Good looking with a deep copper coloured body under a remaining, off-white head. Spotty lacing. Dark caramel-fruity aroma. Fine blended taste profile of slightly roasted caramel malts and English, leafy hops. Smooth bittersweet ending. Drinks very well. Typical for the style and I like it (Session at Finn’s place in Tromsø, 02.02.2017).

Flaske 500ml fra Kilpishalli. Delt med Rune i heimen 2.2.17. Mørk amber. Lavt kremaktig skum. God karamellaroma. Smaken mye malt ispedd litt krydder. Litt julestemning i denne.

Backlog. Bottle, 0.5l. Clear amber pour with very visible carbonation. Small sized slightly off-white head with poor retention. Practically no lacing. Smell is malty and grassy. Thin body with watery texture. High carbonation. Bittersweet taste with notable metallic acidity. Aroma of malts and caramel. A bit grassy, touch of bread and vanilla. Watered down and quite subdued, works really poor in combination with very high carbonation level. Dry finish. Overall, mediocre bitter.
