Keg at Beer Run, 4/1/15. Hazy copper, large creamy tan head. Good retention. Aroma of earthy, resin, piney hops, mild citrus. The taste is melon, herbal, citrus, piney hops, caramel malt. Medium bodied, strong lingering bitterness.

Pours dark amber into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Banana and clove aromas. Thick with sweet caramel and earthy spice upfront turning warm and dry in the medium length finish.

Bottle shared last night at the meeting. Hazy light golden color. Earthy bready peppery with just a touch of funk. Nice beer, but the Smuttwater was much more interesting.

Bar great harry, Brooklyn tap: pours golden. Aroma is brett, spice, and stuff. Taste is dry. Nice brett aftertaste. Very mellow and very light. Pretty good but not totally memorable.

3 finger dense creamy off white head. I almost thought this was infected but honestly I think it’s just the wine barrel. lots of tannins and grapes. Thin mouthfeel. The taste is not really great. Some spice and herbs, for sure red wine present. Decent and another I’d like to try fresh

pale yellow no head. Bottled November. Cheesy old hops. sorry guys, a little piney, yeasty. Really nice creamy mouthfeel. Very thin, old, good yeast presence for sure. Decent beer and I’ll seek out a fresher bottle.

On tap at The American Craft Beer Fest Yesterday. Rustic earthy fruity bready spicy, I wrote great in my notebook.

Draft at the brewery. Color is very murkey color brown without a lot of head. The aroma and flavor run hand-in-hand. Rich in barrel, mainly because it was aged six years in apple brandy barrels! (Yes that was told to us from an employee). The flavor has the rich quad base (figs, dates, raisins and caramel) with ice cider hints from the rich apple.brandy. I can’t even describe the smoothness of the texture and mouth feel. Sliky, rich and decadent. Don’t confuse this for not being sweet; it is super sweet. But awesome in small amounts. Holy hell this is tasty.

Draft at the Brewery. Hazy gold thicker head. Aroma is lots Belgain yeast, straw and pepper. Body is medium with a nice dry texture. The yeast is displayed very well with the Brett really, really subtle. Maybe served to cold. But they didn’t go nuts with the Brett. Very nice.
