Description
The LHG Brewpub is an independent brewery and bar in the centre of Bristol.
We opened the doors to our brewpub on 13th June 2019, with the aim to create a beating heart at the centre of our business. A place for us to engage and interact with the people who drink our beer, and shorten the distance between production and glass. Our Brewpub was crowdfunded, with 1500 people investing in our small company. We are incredibly proud to be the custodians of a site that has over 250 years of brewing history within its walls.

0.44l can. Aroma is caramelly, herbal and mild fruity. Pours cloudy amber color with creamy tan-like head. Taste starts with medium sweet toasted malt and dried fruit, following is herbal, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is pretty bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate. X-traordinary…

(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 20 Nov 2025) Dark brown colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark bread, chocolate and roasted grain. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, chocolate, dark bread, toast and a gentle roasty bitterness. Light body, with a slight sweetness. Solid and well made mild. Very nice.

Very slightly hazy gold with a frothy whte head and a soft marmalade and light cereal aroma. Light bodied, soft citrus notes, a tingle of zest and a little dollop of chewy malt, finishes dry and bitter.

Celebrated heist mastermind Willie Sutton escaped from prison on this drinking day in 1947. Clear golden, not maintaining much of a head, but in taste is quite interesting with plenty of candy-sweet tropical notes in both aroma and taste, within quite an easy drinking texture.

Keg draught at LHG Brewpub, Bristol. Light-ish gold, clear with a small uneven white head and loads of visible carbonation. Floral aroma, some white grape, pink grapefruit, dried grasses. Sweet taste with a bitter bite taking hold halfway through the sip. Dry finish with an intense bitter aftertaste. Light body with heavy carbonation. A decent if not exemplary Pilsner.
