Bottle, courtesy of SinH4. Pours almost clear yellow with a medium head. Aroma is grass, slight hay, lemon. Body is medium, earthy, a little bit salty, with an almost aggressive lively carbonation. Sweetish, with some bitterness. Lemon, malt flavours. Light fruit on the palate too. Good.

Bottle. Slightly hazy pale golden color with white head. Aroma is grainy malts with a touch of straw at first, reminding me of a macro lager, but then there comes a lot of grassy, herbal, floral hops with some citrus character in there as well. Taste is refreshing, citrus, grassy hopspice, with a juicy malt base, a touch of honey, bread and a natural carbonation. Surprisingly chewy for such a beer. Refreshing, good, and moreish; among the best bottled Dortmunder/Helles I’ve had, but then again it is unfiltered, so maybe should count as a Zwickel.

Euro-Flasche: Pale golden to golden, a bit unclear, smaller persistent white head; robust - but soft - herbal-grassy nose, some traces of pale malt detectable; almost solid bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied and not so soft; lingering dryish herbal-grassy finish with even traces of piney hops, less impressive malty counterpart. Aromatic and spicy, but not perfectly balanced...

(bottle) Slightly hazy, greenish golden colour with a blond mid-sized foamy head. Grassy and slightly herbal hoppy aroma with subtle citric spots on a mildly pale malty background. Mildly bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light bodied with an almost crisp carbonation. Soft malty sweetness upfront with hints of crackers, shades of cereals, accompanied by a good dash of grassy and slightly herbal hops; balanced bitter-sweet with grassy, herbal and subtle fruity hoppy flavours. Clean and easy-going hoppy Lager. 24.III.17

*Bottle from Bier Freunde, Leipzig. Nice floralness, fresh citrus and grapefruit, intense fresh hopped. The body is smooth with hints of sweetness, round fresh fruits (melon, madarina really there) with a smooth and slightly sweetish body. Nice.

Euro-Flasche: Hazy, copper to light amber coloured, medium-sized and slowly collapsing off-white head; moderate sweet honeyish-pale-malty nose, mild - but distinctive - herbal-hoppy traces in the second row; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; lingering and drier pale-malty, fruity and herbal-hoppy finish; lingering hoppy aftertaste. Unspectacular, but well balanced Doppelbock...

Brown with little beige head. Aroma is some caramel, dried figs, dried physalis, peppermint, slightly spiky and not so round. Taste is not so much fluffy dark fruity body with some caramel sweetness and butter. Fluffy and only medium bodied. Little roast finish is rather aprupt. Ok, one dimensional.

(bottle) Hazy, ruby brown colour with a firm mid-sized tanned foamy head. Rich malty aroma, slightly toasted with notes of caramel and delicately flowery hops in the background. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a well-carbonated and matured mouthfeel. Dark and slightly toasted malt character with notes of caramel sweetness, shy floral hints and a cautious nutty edge; sweet malty and mildly caramelly finish with a well-embedded alcoholic strength. Not that complex but clean and easy-going. 21.I.17
