Description

Dark yellow, with an amber tinge. Very cloudy. Tall head, going down rather quickly and leaving the lace around the glass. Strong aroma of yeast, malt, banana, spice, hops. Strong tasting, malty with strong yeast and decent hops. Some fruit, like pears or apples. Some lemon and citrus too. Sour, slightly bitter and strong finish, lasting quite long. Very nice, dry. Sweet in the middle. Strong and dry finish. Not amazingly complex but far better than their normal beers.

Bottled, found in my own cellar as I moved. Deep rubyish amber colour with mediumsized fluffy off-white head, nice lace. Aroma is caramel, fruits, some bread as well as some alcohol and mild yeastyness. Flavour is spices, alcohol, bread and some fruits along with caramel malts. A very pleasantly balanced beer.

Bottled, thanks Bov. Ruby red colour with pinkish beige head. Aroma is red fruits along with some spices and sap. Flavour is red fruits, some yeast along with some wooden sourness. Leffe has now managed to make something strange, that I am not really sure I want to see in their selection...

Dark ruby red, big fluffy head. Aroma of candy corn. Tastes of caramel, toffee and malt. Sweetish, but not too sweet. A keeper.

Clear golden pour - soapy, sticky lace - aroma of clove, candi sugar, flowers, herbal tea - sugar sweet flavor, with a lot of belgiany phenols, clove, scented soap/flower kind of flavors - it aint bad, but it is awfully sweet for the abv, like herbal tea with a lot of raw sugar in it.

Pours with a large creamy, white head and good lacing. Clear burnt yellow body. Aroma is a bit of spice, yeast and coriander. Taste is spicy yeast, fruity with cinnamon, and coriander. A bit cloyingly sweet, and an odd malt astringency. Watery with light bubbles.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts strong and sweet, maybe a bit too alcoholic. Oily finish, still very sweet. Good beer.
