Description

[330 ml bottle] Kind of hard to rate since I have been drinking Leffe for so many years. It tastes Leffe! Spices and herbs in the aroma and flavor.

Bottle: Poured a brown with a orange tint, head is off white to tan. Aroma is sweet spice, roasted malt, and yet some orange peal. Taste is malty and fruit, there is some piney bitter hops.

Bottle, pours crystal clear gold with a white head. Smells like vanilla and sugar. Taste is light with some sweetness and very light bitterness. Light carbonation. Not that great.

Bottle. Clear golden with good white head. Aroma is slightly citrus, slightly estery and pleasant. Light to medium body with good carbonation. Rich complex taste (malt, esters, banana) yet refreshing. Some bitterness in finish. Overall a well balanced beer: refreshing yet complex and quite rich.

thanks a lot, faroeviking for sharing. aroma:strong fruity lemoade red berries, sligtht citrus. appears:clear ruby small white head. flavor : fruits, a bit more artificial than aroma, beer flavor more niticeable than in aroma. tastes like beer was mixed with fruit juice, rather than like it was brewed together. Still refreshing and very nice.

Bottle, Cafe Leffe, Strasbourg. I seem to recall really liking this about 5 years ago, but am now really struggling to see why as this was very undwerwhelming. Pured a reddy brown with a medium off white head. Malty aroma with some fruit and spice. Sweet and malty flavour. Really very average. Thought this had much more character, but it wasn’t evident on this occasion.

This is an ok brune. It is way to sweet for me and there is next to no hop flavor. The sweetness adds to it’s drinkability but I think they should focus more on bringing some other flavors out. St. Feuillien Brune is alot better.
