Spicy yeasty, wheaty fruity aroma, notes of clove, banana, dried banana chips, honeydew melon, grassy and minimally citrusy hoppy overtones with a touch of lemon drops. Taste is slightly fruity and minimally grassy, bitter hoppy, hints of banana, a touch of apricot, some melon and clove; dry, leafy hoppy finish with a minimally sweet, creamy, fruity, basic layer.

Pours tawny brown from the bottle. The head is stable and frothy. A small web of lacing clings to the glass. In terms of appearance a very promising start. The aroma is a cherry, raisin caramel mix. On the whole the fruity notes are more pronounced than in a typical Dunkles. Taste is lightly sweet sour with a red berry flavor set atop the more more traditional caramel malt undertone. Finishes a bit tart. The body stays fairly light with no notes of water or alcohol. A nice brew.

Brown with almost no head. Aroma is chestnut, dark caramel, roast, flowers. Taste is buttery roasty bitter, little lemon sourness. Not so smooth, spiky on the tongue. Short finish, thin body. Not watery though. Meh.

Golden/amber with little white head. Aroma is cooked rice, some fruits (pear, apple), slight pepper, alcoholic and crackery malt. Taste is much alcoholic juicy malt, a little bit sourness, somehow dusty. More bitter alcoholic juice in the finish, not quaffable due to the heavy alcoholic touch. Not light on the tongue. Didn’t enjoy this one so well.

0.5 l bottle from ’Rudat’, best before May 2017. Hazy, straw yellow with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, quite yeasty-spicy and moderately fruity aroma of pear, lime, honeydew, vanilla, clove and some banana. Slightly sweetish, moderately yeasty-spicy and very fruity taste of pear, lime, honeydew, some lemon peel, banana, clove and hints of vanilla, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, moderately yeasty-spicy and a little sourish finish. Medium body, smooth and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very tasty!
