Copper colored with a frothy, white head. Hints of apples, grass, and dough. Taste is bitter with both grainy and fruity notes. Finishes moderately grainy bitter. Medium bodied, mild carbonation, clean, crisp feel. Not bad. The color and punchy, grainy bitterness make it feel more like a Märzen than the typical Helles.

From the drinks of the world Geneva, opening it yesterday going to froideville, a lovely place with this beverage, between a weiss and an ipa, dry and mineral, fruity, sparkling, malty, bready, not a typical weiss but it is tasty, 18.11.22

330 ml bottle from a Kiosk in Munich. Clear, golden body, with a big, fluffy, white head.
Aroma of grains, grass, herbs, flowers, citrus. Tastes similar, with subtle pineapple.
Mediium mouthfeel, with an average carbonation. Finishes crisp, bitter, quite dry, citric, zesty, herbal, floral.
Solid, straight Pils. Clean and well balanced, maybe a bit too clean even, I'm missing a bit more character.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque golden with a small, lacing off-white head. Rather aromatic hop aroma, slightly citrusy perhaps. Medium body, dry and dusty malts and again quite a solid hop impression - I cannot really tell if they are modern varieties. Dry, lightly hoppy finish. 100226

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear golden with a rich, frothy and lacing white head with good retention. Nose of citrus, yeast and unfermented wort. Light body, sweet, unfermented wort, yeast and citruy hops leading to a surprisingly bitter finish. Damm those wort notes, I really don't dig them - does anybody? 161225

Drinking this beer on the train from St.Gallen to Munich, on tuesday. Sharing it with my wife, relax, good lager/pils, full body, malty, bready, floral hop, bitter, brewed on the German way, bought this bottle on the drinks of the world St.Gallen, 25.10.24

Bottle courtesy of Jonas, cheers Jonas! and consumed in the company of Jude, Loz and Isobel as we were cooking a Thai Red Curry, had this 15th October 2025. I never realised that these Tilmans Pale ales were actually an ongoing series, completely missed out on this collecting game. Pours dark/warm gold in colour edging towards light amber with a mid sized white head. Nice mouthfeel, decent carbonation, they're a rustic edge to this, it's a touch fruity, but otherwise I'm left a little bit underwhelmed for the second beer on the bounce tonight.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque golden with a neat and lacing, white head. Yeasty nose with rather heavy phenols. Medium body, very dry. Low on banana notes but high on phenols to a not so pleasant degree. Very dry finish. Not a fan. 101025

Marrón oscura de tinte rojizo que deja pasar mínimamente la luz. Espuma, ocre de poca consistencia y duración. Aroma a malta tostada bastante marcado. En boca es ligera de cuerpo, muy bebible, de escaso amargo. Bien de gas. Paso facil y agradable sabor muy malteado, donde sobresalen los tonos tostados con notas de café y caramelo. Buena.

Ambarina nebulosa, espuma de persistencia y tamaño medios. Aroma de base malteada con notas florales. Oleosa en boca de cuerpo moderado, amargor escaso, sabor malteado, miel y flores. Bastante aromática. No encuadra bien en el estilo, pero en cualquier caso está bastante buena.
