Bottle. Brown color with beige head. Aroma is berries, spruce, chocolate. Taste is berries, some dark malts, sweetish fruitiness, quite a bitter finish. Very good hoppy Brown Ale.

Bottle. Brown color with creamy beige head. Aroma is caramel, roasted malts, some saltiness (salty liquorice?). Taste is caramel, Schwarzbrotkruste, herbal-earthy hops. Creamy mouthfeel, rather low carbonation. Quite balanced and pleasant Dunkles, but nothing special.Bottle, about a year later. This is much more Franconian by now. A bit buttery, sweeter, more chocolate than roasted malts. Interesting! Score is the same.

Bottle. Clear, surprisingly deep golden-orange color with nice white head. Aroma is tropical fruits (pineapple, apricot), citrus, herbal. Taste is, surprisingly for a Helles, honey, toffe and caramel, with a fruity touch of more pineapples. Medium body, medium carbonation, good balance. A Helles with a modern hopping? If it is like this: Yes please! Impressive.

Grainy smooth beginning. The beer is fresh and highly drinkable. Very smooth with a slightly sweetish grainy body. Easy to drink though. The aftertaste is smooth with a nice grainy sweetness and a very soft body. Nice sessionable Helles, but nothing outstanding.
