Description
History: Giesinger started as a garage brewery in Munich-Birkenau in 2006. In 2007, 300 hectoliters of beer were produced and sold in Birkenau. In 2009 we already produced an impressive 750 hectoliters of beer in our small backyard brewery. When we finally reached the magic limit of 1,000 hectoliters for the first time in 2011, the premises in Birkenau were completely exhausted. A new location was needed and found in the neighbourhood of Munich-Giesing. The new brewery opened in 2012 and continued to grow, therefore a second facility was opened in 2018.
Suddenly "big" entrepreneur: Today we have 20 fermentation and storage tanks in our brewery. Giesinger became Munich's second largest private brewery almost overnight: With our current brewing plant, we can produce up to 12,000 hectoliters of beer per year, and after the opening of the second brewery even more.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque, orangey golden with a small, creamy, off-white head. Distinct aroma of banana and cloves. Medium body, sweet banana, cloves and a yeasty hint. Dry finish with no bitterness. A well balanced Hefe, not too sweet. 180326

Tap. Cloudy yellow/gold, medium white foam leaving drafts and staying. Nose is yeasty, grainy, crumb. Mouth: a classic Keller, clean, pretty full, yeast-led.

On tap at Giesinger Bräustüberl München Friday 6th February 2026, we're off to see Anna Von Hausswolff in Technikum later. Pours hazy burnished gold with a large white head. Fresh, zippy and with a bit of a fruity edge, light bitterness, fine. Score 6.4

Bottle from StmD :) Yellowish. Aroma is slight spiky 0-alc wort stuff with some citrussy hops. Taste is a bit sour fresh and bitter hops with lots of citrus and light herbs together with a bit of unfermented wort spikiness. Not too bad. Quite drinkable if nothing else is available.

Completely clear pale yellow with an egg white porous head. Clean nose, not the typical worry mess for an alcohol free. Earthy hops, apple on second smell, floral with some malt peeking through. Good hopp hit up front, mild hoppiness, floral, but fading fast as usual. Watery finish. Still enjoyable for an alcohol free.

Schöne gelbe, sehr trübe Farbe. Cremiger Schaum. Sieht schon mal sehr gut aus. Zitroniger Geruch.

dark golden colour, moderate sized dense, ecru-ish head; aroma of grassy, lemongrassy, hay, grainy, some floral and herbal notes; taste of a well-balanced lager with fruity--apple peel-like and similar notes to the aroma, as well as some spiciness in the aftertaste; good one!

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a footed pilsner glass. Hazy pale golden colour, small frothy white head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Lemonade-like aroma, pale malt, citrus, grain, grassy hops. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grain, citrus, grass. Light body, watery to sticky texture, soft carbonation, okay.
