Description
Baron Brewing is a playground for beer, where no two batches are the same. Made for the fun and love of the process – the next beer will be the best beer.

The brewery is based on a farm in Great Hormead, East Hertfordshire. The focus is to brew modern styles, particularly highly hopped ales and fresh lagers.

The 1000L brewhouse allows for an ever-changing range of beers to be brewed. Each style will be pushed to its limits, with the evolution and development of new flavours.

Can from The Craft Beer Cabin, Bromley. Hazy orange pour with a white head. Earthy, herby nose, some tropical fruit & citrus in there too. Taste is nothing like the aroma, lime, mango, papaya, grapefruit, lemon drops, pineapple. Oodles of juicy fruits on the palate. Heavy hoppy aftertaste. Most enjoyable.

Panda thanks to Cloin. A modest haze on this slightly dirty looking gold beer, a decent bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Thinnish pale malts, a decent sweetness imparted. Light crisp pine and plenty of candy fruits hops into lightly ripe citrus. Finishes crisp with a fair nip of hop spice.

Can from The Beerhive. Murky golden body with an off-white head that slowly fades. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of mango, passionfruit and vine tomatoes. Flavour of mango pulp and lime with a hint of hop burn. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. This is a heavily hopped DIPA; the aroma really jumps out of the glass.

Can from The Beerhive. Hazy amber body with a beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of toffee and pine. Flavour of caramel and toffee apple with a bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with a chewy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A rich, bittersweet red IPA. Possibly a touch too sweet.

Can. Sick note rate. A light haze on this gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light pale malts, a very nice light creamy sweetness. The hops bring a crisp pine. Lovely light bright hop fruits, orange, lime, mild grape and a whisper of candy fruits. Light crisp finish. Lovely bright clean pale ale.

On tap at Kill the Cat, Spitalfields Market, London. A straw coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, orange, grapefruit, pine taste/aroma. Really enjoyable and not bitter at all for a west coast DIPA. Good and very expensive stuff from Baron.
