Description
A bunch of friends who started brewing NOLO beers during the 1st lockdown. After a fairly successful first launch we went a bit rogue and made about 9 beers in 3 months, people kept wanting more so, we kept making them. We didn't quite intend to start a company and carry on after lockdown ended, but here we are.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours cloudy golden - yellow with a decent fluffy white head. The aroma is zingy, tangy, bright, juicy orange citrus, tangerine, kumquat, mango, raspberry, peach Melba and pink Turkish delight. The taste is initially smooth, then has a touch of dryness, chalky wheat bread, wheat crackers, green, weedy, dank, pithy, zesty, orange peel, soft raspberry and floral accents with a dry finish. Light+ body and fine, foamy carbonation. Rather interesting and quaffable. Another winner from mashgang.

330ml can from Westhill Service Station. It pours ever so slightly hazy pale white wine colour with a small frothy white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, tangy, juicy, zesty oily orange, tangerine, perfumed, mango and a splash of white wine. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, white wine, pithy, zesty, slightly oily, perfumed, orange, tangerine, kumquat, touch of tinned fruit cocktail and dried mango with a smooth, fruity finale. Light body, fine carbonation and oily mouth feel. Has a nice cocktail/winey vibe. Novel.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours hazy bright pake gold with a small, bubbly white head. The aroma is big and fresh, green, weedy, big hit of dankness, pine, pithy, zesty citrus, sherbet, tropical fruits, pineapple and the like. The taste is firmly dry, touch of bitterness, super fresh, green, weedy, dank, pine needles, pithy, zesty citrus, nip of warming spice, tropical fruits and a touch floury bread in the backdrop. Finish is dry and green. Light body and soft, massaging carbonation. Very well realised. Chock full of hops. Quenching and rather satisfying for a nolo.

440ml can; BB 7th June 2023. Drank at home in the afternoon sun on 24th May 2023, my back garden. Mini-haze to the golden pour, white head. Decent enough for a low alcohol brew, seemed hoppy and slightly citrusy in nature. Had worse.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours a murky muddy reddish brown with a thick, frothy yellowy - beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, rather jammy, red fruits, dried fruits, fruit cake, twist of citrus, brown bread, toffee and cocoa. The taste is dry, firm, bitter, piney, nutty, cacao, zingy citrus vibes, pithy, zesty, bitter orange, grapefruit, brown bread and a touch of jammy fruits. Finish is bone dry green pine with a twist of citrus. Light+ body and moderate carbonation. Has a good depth of flavour. Not a looker, but a rather unique offering.
