Description
Cardiff Based Craft Brewery. Making surreal beers since August 2019.
Flowerhorn Brewery was set up in the summer of 2019 by two friends, Andrew and Arran. Shortly after meeting through mutual friends and both sharing a love of all things beer Andrew landed a job in a brewery and when Arran finished university 9 months later he jumped straight in to the industry as well. Each with two years experience under their belt they began picturing and developing exactly what their ideal brewery would look like. They spent some money on a homebrew kit and started brewing in Arran’s parent’s garage.
Fast forward: Before we knew it around came our first birthday and we celebrated by picking up the keys to our brand new unit at the Bridge Studios. Currently we’re waiting for our bespoke 5bbl kit to be manufactured and delivered and in the meantime we’re continuing creating and innovating with new styles and flavours ready to serve to you in our brand new tap room before the end of the year.

Can. Just a light haze on this gold beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, a little dry, good fine minerally carbonation. The pale malts bring a light but adequate creamy sweetness. Punchy hops. Cooling pine into strong passion fruit led hop fruits. Stone fruits, slightly ripe pineapple. A good bright hop fruit juicy tang. A touch of Sabro coconut. More tangy stone fruits and tropical fruits, whisper of candy fruits. Light finish. Punchy hop fruits, Mike Tyson level of punch. Impressive.

Cardiff Mini-break Beer#32. Hazy pale golden, ordered without having to buy any pizza with it in a venue named after the food it cooks. This has a very sessionable texture and taste given it's a plus five in percentage brew, subdued tropical fruit flavours also add to this feeling. These are on the sweeter side from its citrus base. I like the artwork on the can too.

Cardiff Mini-break Beer#13. Hazy yellow coloured keg pour. Has a carbonated citrus and pine, which has a fuller aroma than taste, where it is dryish, blandish, and fast disappears.

Cardiff Mini-break Beer#4. First beer in Wales, and it's a Welsh made starter - a mildly hazed golden coloured crisp keg pour. Nice tropical notes slightly dominated by pine in both aroma and taste. Easy to drink.

Keg draught at Frog on the Bine, Buxton. Pink and hazy with a ring of white head. Big raspberry aroma, cherry sours, fruit yoghurt. The taste is also quite sour but the fruit holds it up. More lactic character mid-sip, and cleaner toward the finish. Medium hody, heavy tight carbonation. Certainly doesn't taste 6%. I am impressed.
