May 2016, as Madness Night Boat London Porter. Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting. ABV is 4.6%. Beautiful ruby colour (fairly pale for a porter), moderate beige head. Moderate malts in the aroma, not very roasty. A hint of caramel, vanilla and very thin coffee. Medium dry flavour, mild coffee, a hint of chocolate. Very moderate hops. Easy drinking.

10/2/2019. Tap at the Bear & Billet, Chester. Poured golden with a just off-white head. Aroma of malt, hops, fruit and straw. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Ok.

Pours darker blonde, to a lighter amber. Small white head. fades fast, no lacing. Smell is bready, mild caramel, tad sweet. earthy, spicy hops, medium low intensity. clean fermentation profile. Taste is quite sweet, marmelade, some sugar. medium mf. lower side of carbonation.
