Gravity cask at the Tap and Barrel, Wigston. Dark brown, translucent, with the tiniest ring of khaki head. Liquorice and sweet, milky coffee are the prominent components in the aroma. Very sweet taste, with more liquorice, and a touch of sour blackberry on the finish. Oily body, somewhat flat. By-the-numbers porter but a damn good one.

Clear golden color with a white layer on top. Dotted lacing. Surprisingly fresh aroma with some fruity and citric notes. Medium body and a soft to flat carbonation level. The carbonation level destroys this beer a lot. Could be quite fresh and refreshing. Tad sweet and a decent bitterness. A bit to much caramel malt, faint citric, herbal and dried fruits in the flavor. Ok complexity, but way to much caramel malt.

Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, caramel,, dark malt, dusty coffee / coffee candy, chocolate notes. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, chocolate malt, caramel, dark malt, coffee candy. Cask at the Duck in the Pond, Harrow. Golden amber with no head but a light fizz. Lemony caramel pretty much covers this one. Pleasant enough.

Cask-conditioned at the York Tap 22/7/2017. Dark brown in colour, with a thin, beige, head. Caramel sweetness, some milk chocolate, toasty malts and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask @ Horniman At Hays, London. Golden with a small bubbly head. Hoppy with a tropical fruit aroma and taste, but a slightly watery texture.

Cask at the Crown and Sceptre, Fitzrovia, London. Pours clear pale gold with a small white head leaving good lacing. Aroma of hop, citrus fruit, grass, banana and light caramel. Moderate sweetness, quite heavy bitterness. Medium body, oily and watery texture, soft carbonation. Finish is sweeter with bitter ending.
