Description
Our current kit can produce up to 20 brewer’s barrels, depending on the beer and how heavily hopped it is. We have 10 fermentation vessels, with the most recent additions being oversized to allow double brews of our more popular beers. Having started as a one-man operation, the business has slowly expanded to the current team of eight as demand, production, brew house and premises size have increased.

We put a premium on quality and consistency, which means monitoring the beer at every stage of the brewing process and beyond. Much of our equipment, i.e. our keg washing & filling machine and our bottling machine, were chosen with this in mind.

Cask-conditioned at the Cornubia (funnily enough), Bristol 12/05/2011. Arbor has brewed this house ale rather than merely rebadging one of its existing beers. Amber coloured with a tight white head. Citrus hop aroma with a touch of sweet maltiness and some orange. Flavour had plenty more orange fruit, biscuity malts and a dryish finish. Very quaffable.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2011. Black beer with lasting tan head. Roasted malt and liquorice on aroma. A very tasty roasty mild with some oilyness. Really rather lovely beer. A modern dark mild. Decent enough. Thick and full in mouth. Very tasty

Cask, gravity at The White Horse, Hedgerley, Bucks 16.04.11 Pale lemon, in fact more strawlike in colour with a white bubbly head. Really furry bitterness in the mouth, some sweet maltiness, but this is soon zapped back by the brisk assertive hoppiness of the Summit hops. Nice, very nice. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Half, cask hand pulled at CASK Pub and Kitchen. Dark as the devil. Black naked surface. Aroma of coffee malts, slightly roasted. Cocoa, coffee grounds and earthy malts in a mid-sweet taste profile. Beneath it all there is also a touch of blackcurrant. Gets sweeter towards the ending. Hidden alcohol. Rather well balanced and medium to full bodied. A bit heavy to drink, but still a very good drink (London, 22.03.2011).

Cask handpull at Cask Pub & Kitchen. Black beer with thin tan head. Wow now this is a thick tastyy berr. Reminds me of Mikkeller Beer Geek except for the annoying liquorice finish. Sweetish. Yes coffee and choc and oatmeal. Really good except for the liquorice finish which I dont like. Coffee is lively though. So impressed

My 800th rated English beer
Opaque dark brown color, small brown head. Strong aroma of coffee beans and cold coffee. Light to medium bodied. Tastes like cold coffee. Some sweetier malts in the background. It is all coffee stout. Works ok.
