Bottle from Bay Hop, Colwyn Bay. Aroma has sweet berries, spice. Then dulls with a nutty element. Clear amber. Foamy frothy off-white head. Initial sour berries with a light spicy periphery. Underlying caramel and trad ale veg soup. Gains spice as I drink more. Light-medium bodied. Thin to slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Pretty bland Amber Ale. Some spice but watery and vege.

Panda at home, thanks to Graham Grumbo, 21/07/24. Mild explosion and gushing panda ... who knew! Almost clear golden amber with a good sized light beige cap. Nose is biscuit, stewed fruits, hedgerow, grains, herb. Taste comprises fruit slice, biscuit, hint of brown bread, herb Medium bodied, over carb and prickly hence the big bang, semi drying close with a light bitter edge. Tidy enough bitter, shame about the carbonation.
