Description
At the gateway to the Sequoia National Forest, Kern River Brewery is Kernville's only brewpub. This makes KRBC much more than just a restaurant; it's an attraction in itself.

The Kern River Brewing Company is a privately owned “S” Corporation and is managed by a three-member board of directors. The business of the company is the production of fresh high-quality beer and food in a fun, comfortable environment. Kyle Smith, Eric Giddens and Rebecca Giddens make up the perfect combination to do just that.

On tap at Ladyface, pours a fairly clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of dank, piney hops upfront, followed by crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is big time west coast in the hop expression, with loads of piney hops, plenty of dankness, and biscuity malt. Piney and dank in the best of ways. Excellent.

Pours a slightly hazy pale golden color with a medium frothy white head that recedes gradually to a film. Sticky strings of lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of grassy hops, citrus and bready malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours hazy gold with a moderate white head. Fruity/juicy aroma. Flavor of mixed tropicals with some earthy bitterness. Pretty dry for me. More than moderately bitter. Detectable malt support, but bitterness is the main thing. Gets quite bitter in the finish. Excellent.

2020 16 oz can from Kern River Chevron given to me by my son Enniskillen. Nose is chocolate, vanilla, brown sugar, and a hint of licorice. Syrupy black brew with a small cinnamon tan head. Flavor is sweet vanilla caramels coated with chocolate. Really nice stuff!
