Description
At the gateway to the Sequoia National Forest, Kern River Brewery is Kernville's only brewpub. This makes KRBC much more than just a restaurant; it's an attraction in itself.
The Kern River Brewing Company is a privately owned “S” Corporation and is managed by a three-member board of directors. The business of the company is the production of fresh high-quality beer and food in a fun, comfortable environment. Kyle Smith, Eric Giddens and Rebecca Giddens make up the perfect combination to do just that.

I’ve not had the non barrel aged one and didn’t buy a bottle, but they were available. Nose is chocolate, woody vanilla, biscuit, and a slight bit of bourbon. Black with a medium, lightly lacing, cinnamon tan head. Flavor is almost like a pastry stout even without the adjuncts. It is chocolate vanilla with a woody bourbon barrel character.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours dark, ruddy copper with a huge beige/tan frothy head. Aroma of pine with some toffee support. Med plus body. Carbonation seems weak, but the head indicated otherwise. Flavor is not all that dry, but there's a lot of pine for bitter. It's clearly an amber, but there's enough hop bitter to render it palatable. Works for me.

355ml Can from Bierhalle Deconinck (I think). Clear gold, good white froth. Aroma is bready. Taste seems gives suggestions of an aged blonde, gently sweet, bready, light grain, yeast, certainly not fresh. A little boring but fine overall.

Bomber brought to me by my daughter and son in law from the brewery along with a Shepherds Pie family meal that KR has been doing for pickup during the quarantine. Nice piney hops with some toffee and lightly bitter.
