Description
Geert Demuynck started in 1981 with the national Belgian broadcaster BRT. As a non-beer drinker, he and his colleagues went to the Koekoek in Asse where they served a flat beer (lambic) from a wooden barrel. The interest in lambic, Oude Geuze (Gueuze), Oude Kriek and derivatives was a fact. A lot of research was done, many lambic breweries were visited and participated in events.
Things picked up speed around 2006 and soon after that the guiding started.

2021 was the year when everything got even more intense. Publitasting started. In addition to his own activities, Geert was also active at Brouwerij Timmermans, Devillé and Angerik and a collaboration was started with Brouwerij Eylenbosch, which became the main activity. With its own Stekerij Publitasting, it is the intention to only develop products and make limited editions.

Bouteille 75cl partagée avec Isaac, Sergi, Costa, Bernat, Tavo, Iñaki, Nacho, Trota - El Birrot & Basque region friends mega tasting. Merci!
Anno 2022 - BB 31/12/2027.

75cl bottle @ Belgian Beer Geeks Autumn Gathering 2025. Thanks Bierridder for this! Slightly misty gold appearance, small white head. Lovely blend. Rosemary compliments things nicely, light fennel, generally quite floral overall with a moderately sweet character .. like it

Bottle at BBGG. Clear golden with white head. Sweet malts, fennel, oak, rosemary, soft funk. Medium sweet, light sour. Full bodied. Weird but not bad.

Bouteille 75cl à Belgian Summer Beer Gathering, merci Siegfried.
BB 31/12/2028.

Huge, fluffy, just lightly yellowish tinted head, fed by metallic orange-golden beer, lively carbonated. End of bottle solid deposit. Straw, immortelles, farmyard odours, horseblanket, leather, whiskycask, orangerind. Sourish to sour, wheat and obviously whisky. Strange - slightly smoked, which doesn't quite rime with the Lowland. Lemon, horseblanket. Gradually, the whiskyflavour seems to diminish. Sharp acidburn and -thinning. Wheatslick; good carbonation. Bit sharp, not exactly malse lambic, and the whisky doesn't change that.

37.5cl from Cafe Rose Red. It pours clear orange with limited head. The aroma is bright, zingy, tangy, misty, orange peel, blood orange, marmalade sandwiches, orange wine, leather, sherbet and sour candy. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, bright and bracing acidity, tart, tangy, vinous, orange sherbet, candied citrus peel, blood orange, apricot, musty, funk, damp oak, orange wine and some barnyard with a tangy, acidic orange finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Novel, but the citrus brings big acidity. You can feel the depe funk from the old lambic also. Interesting, but challenging.

1 March 2025. At Winter Belgian Beer Geek Gathering. Many thanks to hosting, Tim & Marina, and cheers to the whole crew!

Lots of lavender, rose petals, rosemary, mandarin zest, herbed cheese. Sour mandarin, rhubarb, gooseberry, lots of herbal lavender, bit bitter at that. Woody & herbal finish, bit tannic, soapy. Unusual, wouldn't seek it out again per se but it's quite good.
