Poured up on tap at Tipsy Cactus where it exhibits a deep dark mahogany colored body that supports a thin pale tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up notes of sweet malts, reduced sugars, boozy heat and then a cherry to honey sensation. The taste delivers smooth sweet soft rich sweetness steaming from malts, reduced sugars, vanilla and soft supple faint bourbon notes. To midway the booziness forces its way to the flavor scene just as mild sugar stewed cherry and a sort of wood note struggle to be heard. Overall this is a tad on the thin side but well integrated and balanced and I see no need for cellar time as it's ready now, today, drink FASTER!! ffs.

16oz can pours out hazy golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice citrus grapefruit hops and some rye malts. Taste is more of the nice citrus and rye spice.

Black with very little head. Aroma matches description: coconut, barrel and maple syrup. Despite all that, bitter at the outset, turning sweeter only later going into the finish. Full-bodied, mild carbonation, warming. Overall, nicely balanced. Best of the 8 sampled.
