Description
Mogwaï Beer Company is a new independent brewery resulting from the craft movement which was born in March 2022 in Mundolsheim, in the Strasbourg region.
The first brews were made throughout May 2022, while the first beers were put on the market in June 2022 with aluminum cans in 44cl format, as well as kegs.
To begin with, our objective is to produce only ephemeral brews in order to give free rein to our desires to experiment, both in the field of contemporary beers (Sour aux Fruits, NEIPA, etc.), barred beers (Pizza ) or more traditional (Pale Ale, BItter, etc…).
A small permanent range of 3-4 beers will be put in place when our spinal bulbs need a little more rest...

Can 44cl. @home poured into a footed pilsner glass. Slightly hazy medium golden colour, tall frothy white head, good retention and fine lacing. Aroma pilsner malt, grain, lemon, gooseberry straw. Taste medium sweet and medium bitter, malty, grain, lemon, gooseberry, spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, grainy and spicy notes, sturdy lager, very nice.

Tap at Roue Libre. Bit hazy light yellow. A lot of cucumber, mint, wheat, soft yoghurt, light lime. Light sweet, sour and salty. Creamy light body. Nice but not in large amounts.

Can. Hazy dull golden with small head. Cinnamon, lime, verveine, soft malts. Light sweet and sour. Light bodied. Yeah this is exactly what it says on the cane, with the lime zest having a lot of cinnamon as well. Interesting but not great.

Almost black pour and a fine head. Good intensity in the aroma. Balanced bitterness and sweetness. Also a fine carbonation level. Bready, herbal, fruity, roast and some citric notes in the flavor. [Can from a trade with ChrisOfstad] Brewery #2666

Pale gold with a foamy, white head. Grassy aroma with floral overtones and a mild, indistinct fruitiness. Taste is moderate bitterness with grainy notes at the finish. Body to the light side of medium, moderate watery texture. Like a lot of IPLs it feels like a beer in two worlds without doing justice to either. For what it is, ok.
