Description
Saint Somewhere Brewing Company is a brewer of traditional Farmhouse ales located in Tarpon Springs, Florida. We are a small batch brewery using only the finest ingredients available. Belgian malt and wheat, whole noble hops and open fermentation add to the complexity of our ales. Our beers are unfiltered and re-fermented in the bottle, not engineered, but truly hand crafted.

Sample at The Festival. Cloudy deep amber color, fluffy white head. Aroma of straw, berries, light spice. Taste is peppery fruity hay. Nice.

Pours pale straw color with white head. Aromas of grapes, citrus and St. Somewhere yeast. Similar flavor with slightly tart funkiness. Light to medium body with lively carbonation.

Bottle from Knightly Spirits. Big gusher! Half a twist on the cage and the cork shot out with the cage on it. Pours Earthy and herbal aromas with some medicinal notes. Burnt rubber, band-aid and herbal flavors with some earthiness. Light to medium body with lively carbonation. Not very good. Quite disappointing. Based on other reviews it looks like I may have had a bad bottle.

Bottle thanks to Drowland. Pours semi-cloudy gold with fluffy white head. No gushing! Nose and taste of skinless grapes, lemon and orange zest, candy sugar, farmhouse yeast and exotic fruit. Medium body. Finishes slightly tart and dry.

Bottle. Amber beer with a big cream head. Spice and lemon aroma. Spice and yeast flavor with lemon. Medium bodied. Spice and yeast lingers with lemon. Persimmons noticeable in background.

Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours a near clear pale dandelion with a bubbly white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a nice light bitter/tart citrus note with a dry grape note and a bit of light spice. Flavor has a nice combination of citrus and dry grapes with a nice light spice and yeast note to round out the beer.

750 c&c from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours hazy orange gold with a 4 finger fizzy white head. Aroma is extremely floral with some tart notes. Like citrus. Med + body. Flavor is earthy, phenolic. There’s something that really grabs the mouth, and I think it’s persimmon. It takes a bit of getting used to. Flavors aren’t weak, and are different. Still, I think it’s definitely a saison. With time I’m getting a little yeast spice / fruit ester. Maybe even pineapple, if I try hard. Course that could be persimmon. Finishes earthy, fruity and mildly bitter. Something of an eye opener. TF is this sort of thing. Quite nice.

75cl bottle courtesy of Tderoeck @ Post Toer de Geuze tasting. Fresh. Orangée, opaque foncée, pas de col. Arôme à ce côté veille levure avec cet ajout brett qui ne rajoute rien à une bière de base déjà solide. Garde ce côté fleuri et fruité mais dénaturé par le brett. Palais garde ici aussi une impression de bière trop veille, cave, avec un profile plat qui ne donne aucune vie à la bière. Aigreur fine en fin de bouche. Pour moi, un batch qui a du rater et auquel on a ajouté du brett. Dommage.

22/IV/13 - 75cl bottle @ Rampkrot (Deurne) - BB: n/a - 2009 vintage (2013-365) Thanks to Nate for the bottle and to Paul for the transport!

Pretty cloudy orange bee, small off-white head, unstable, dissipates immediately. Aroma: very bready, honey, plums, sweet, dried apricots, orange peel, very oxidised. MF: soft carbon, light to medium body. Taste: honey, pretty sweet, very oxidised, orange peel, almonds, bit citric, but mainly just very old. Aftertaste: little citric, honey, orange peel, almonds. Was expecting something more mouth puckering sour...
