Keg at a Woodcote pop-up tent for the Solihull Food & Drink festival. Hazy dark gold with a slight orange tinge. Sweet with orange citrus, flora, light spice, semi-bitter and dry but could do with more of a kick. Medium bodied. Decent and flavoursome.

Cask from Wellington, Brum. Clear gold, small white top. Nicely citric with softer tropical notes, toasted malts, semi drying and quite bitter. Smooth near medium bodied. Good.

Bottle from Becketts Farm, Wythall. Cloudy gold with small white head. Citrus, flora and biscuit malt aroma which is fairly standard but seems fresher on the nose than some. Taste of biscuit, honey, light citrus zest and pith, spice, moderate bitter bite in finish. Light to medium bodied, slick, easy drinking. Its rather good.

Cask at Rising Sun, Great Bridge (or Tipton as per Places index). Pours golden yellow with a small foamy off-white head. There’s malts and traces of summer fruits in the aroma. Sweet malts again to the fore in the mouth, but with some underlying bitterness and honey catching the taste buds too. After awhile a mix of hops can be detected too, and later still some hints of apples. Sweetness lasts into a slightly dry finish. This is OK, but a bit bland.

Hand-pulled pint on 19th October 2023, Railway Tavern, Newport Shropshire. Light golden body, clean and clear, good solid white crown. Citrus front to the nose and taste, some malt action for a hint of sweetness, but the hops rule this brew.
