Handpull cask at the Brewery Tap. Black with a tick khaki head. Lovely. Smells of coffee, but the cheap stale kind (the kind you buy for ยฃ1.29 down the local shop on a Sunday evening because the good shops are closed). Still nice enough, a hint of paper in the aroma as well. Bitter taste, but not too much so, although the malts feel a bit burnt in the finish and aftertaste. Body is a bit thin. All in all itโ€™s decent, drinkable and has character so worth a half at least.

Bottle. Bier Huis, Ossett. Gold, with a soft haze. Thick, bubbly, lasting, white head. Looks good. Aroma of sweet grain. Bready and yeasty. Soft toffee. Some old, leafy hop. Taste is sugary sweet. A little yeasty. Minimal bitterness. Soft, foamy mouthfeel. Light bitter finish. Sweetness on the lips all the way through. Looks good. Nice mouthfeel. Way too sweet, though.
