Keg at the Brewdog shepherds Bush. A dark caramel brown coloured pour with a lasting beige head. Aroma is tangy citrus and pine resinous hop sticky hop. Palate is semi sweet sticky, moderate carbonation. . Flavour is composed of brown bready malts, toast and berries, pine, and a little wood. Solid black ipa.

BD Clap J. Grapefruit aroma, with a hint of gym shoes?! Deep dark black but biege head lacks stamina. Bitter with a smooth edge, guess the latter is what makes it an ’Indian Stout’. Long bitter finish. Medium bodied. Decent enough.

On tap @ BrewDog, Soho. Yeah, I'll go ahead and call this a black looking one. Not much of a head on this one though. It has a little bit of both leather and thin coffee on the nose. Dark sugar and a mild roastiness. Smells quite alright, but I didn't really love the taste. It's really minerallic and mouthdrying. On the border of astringent actually. Old wood and a little cellar dustiness. It's thin oily in the mouth and it's just below average on the carbonation. Nah, doubt I'll even finish the glass. 23.10.2016
