Cask at Shakespeare's ACH, Sheffield - Opaque black with a thick beige top. Nice roasted cereal and malty notes, easy on the bitterness, and not overly sweet. Very easy going sessionable stout.

Boxing Day beer in Barnoldswick, much appreciated after a tough terrain day of hiking around Malham Cove. As the beer is session strength, the cocoa, which has a grittiness, never transfers fully into chocolate, is gentle in both aroma and taste, but pleasant.
