Bottle. Almost black. Roast, caramel and licorice in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with roast, whisky and caramel. Has lost a little body from the barrel aging. Vanilla. Likeable.

Small cream-pinkish head over hazy brownish orange beer. Oxydated hops, over caramel/waffle malts. Bitterish, old caramel syrup. Light, but certain oxydation, old rosewater (within BBd!). Quite slick, good carbonation. Oily, viscous feel. Gives the impression - certainly warming up - of a hopped strong liqueur. Thanks to Stef!

Thick-set with medium height ochre-cream head over hazy, mossy-amber beer. Cacao, bark, fertilizer, wood strips. Bitterish, cacao, again dry wood. Quite slick, very dry MF; medium bodied at least. Weird beer! 3 classic C-hops and I can't spot one. The bitterness here is really as from cacaopowder. Thanks to Stef!

Small creamy ring over virtually black beer. Peat, peated malt, Islay, mineral, and green leaves as fern or darker. Light chocolate, almost crisp flavour "despite" the Islay. Some coffee appearing and again dark green leaves. Very well-bodied, furious alcoholheat, long lasting roasted flavour. Very goode beer, much better than former Basement B.A. tasted. Thanks to Stef!

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks Stas. Black, tan foam. Lots of peated whiskey, chocolate, roast, soy sauce, sweetish and a bit umami, roast, alcohol. Too peated for my liking.

Hazy amber colour with lasting head. Flavour has plenty of malt background and sweet vanilla from the wood. Rounded hop bitterness balances it out well.

Bottle at home. Dark amber red color, medium sized off-white head. Aroma is malts, raisins, wood. Flavor is malts, caramel-ish, raisins, liquor, wood, liquor bitterness. Although this one has turned out reasonably well, I've never understood why barrel aging an IPA would be a good idea. It just never makes the IPA better. Different? Yes. This one? Yeah turned out alright. Good, etter than it was before barrel aging? Highly doubt it.
