Flaske fra Del Mon, på hotellbalkongen i Cala Major, Mallorca: uklar kobberfarge med højt beige skum som ikke legger seg. Furunål , kokte grønnsaker, gress og malt i smak og aroma. Fet munnfylde, men mangler den nødvendige citrusfriskhet jeg forbinder med ipa og trenger i sydenvarmen.

Flaske på La 5á Puñeta, Palma de Mallorca: mørkebrun med fint beige skum som varer. En nydelig mix av lys kaffe, sjokolade, appelsin og litt vanilje. So smooth. Og denne heller beskjedne tapasbaren er verdt en gjenvisitt pga det gode utvalget av lokale mikrobrygg!

unclear yellow, small white head.aroma of orange peel, wheat, citrussy flavor, wheat, flavor is citrussy and wheatly, like a wit, but with some white wine or grape notes (inclusive the oak and the grape bitterness), as well as some oranges notes, quite complex wit, and quite dry. The orange flavor adds some sweetness though. acc. to website "Sullerica Blanca wheat beer is made with a small part of barley malt, wheat malt and Majorcan unmalted wheat, two types of hops, a special yeast, water of Sóller and lemon peel from the valley." there is no oranges, but the lemon peel that is added must be fresh and fruity, it does add a lot of character to the wheat beer.

bottle from sa cisterna, unclear orange, small fluffy offwhite head. aroma of herbs, faint orange peel, flavor is faint oranges, malts, euro style hopping, the herbs and oranges give an interesting base to a pretty dry malty euro hoppy bitter beer. Third very flavorfull beer from Sullerica i’ve had.

bottle from sa cisterna, old alcudia city area. murky brown, fluffy light brown head. herbs licorice, roasted malts, faint dried dark fruits, flavor is roasted malts, bitter herbal notes, notes of wood, boozy notes, there is something in this one that is not ordinary for a porter, full bodied and with a rich flavor, with a lot of complexity.

bottle from a tourish shop in the old alcudia city close to sa cisterna. 80 ibu acc. to bottle, nice to see new mallorcan breweries being a bit brave reg. recipes. unclear very dark orange, offwhite head. very hoppy aroma, quite some bitterness, the aroma is slightly flowery, somewhat aromatic and lots of bitterness. flavor is malty,hay, bitter hops, spicy notes, wood, the spicy notes actually taste a bit like it smells on the hills around soller where the brewery is located. nice complex and aromatic ipa that is bordering IIPA. without competition the best ipa out of mallorca that i’ve tasted. Flavor is deep and complex, the balance is there between hops amd malts.

Flaske 0,33l. Gave fra Rune. Drukket hjemme 17 Aug 13. Veldig mørk brun. Middels høyt tett skum. Litt uklar. Krydderaroma. Smaken er lakris & sjokolade. Tørr kaffe i ettersmaken. Veldig mye bunnfall.
