Description
We approach brewing like a musician composing a song.

Each beer begins with an inspiration: from nature, food, or an unforgettable experience.

Production is patient, personal and reflective; the vision evolves until it is brought to life in the glass.

Like the song, each beer is our expression, but the enjoyment and interpretation is yours.

Cheers!

At Alesong, our approach to brewing is patient and artistic. 100% of our beer is matured in barrels and then consciously blended to create a complex and unique beverage experience. Drawing inspiration from like-minded artisans across the globe, the goal is to create beers that are innovative and unique, yet approachable and balanced. And with flavors that range from tart and fruity to rich and malty, there's something for every palate.

We believe that beer is worthy of contemplation and reverence and hope to share that passion with you.

500 ml bottle. Pours a black color with a large beige head. A lovely huge cascading nose of coffee, chocolate and just rich fudge like sweet notes. The flavor reminds me of the Abyss in many ways, big bourbon, much bigger (than the Abyss) coffee, cocoa, huge milky chocolates, vanilla. This is really lovely. A treat. Just decadent and up there with nearly any coffee forward Imperial Stout. Sort of subdued and drinkable in a way that is surprising and welcome.

500 mL bottle poured. Much thanks to Douglas for the bottle! Cheers. Mostly clean copper brown pour with a thin ring head. Huge beer here. Sweet, vanilla, bready malt, caramel, raisin aroma. Flavor is dusty malt, raisin, grape, and a bit nutty. Intense, heavy, but reasonable, all things considered. Huge flavor. Very nice barley wine.

Draft pour sry Chucks, Central District. A beer that just sounds amazing, and impossible to live up to the expectation I’m giving it from the start. While true, its still good. Dark red pour with a foam ring head. Sweet cherry and vanilla like aroma. Very tart up front, juicy cherry and sweet as much as it is tart. Wheat and/or straw like follow, with wine notes, but little bourbon to speak of. The beer they describe could be the perfect beer in my opinion. This was solid, but fell short of it’s capability. In my opinion. As a result, still a must try.

Bottle. Pours opaque black with a large creamy brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves great residual and lacing. Aroma is roasty cocoa bourbon, vanilla, hints of marshmallow. Flavor is light plus sweet, light plus bitter, bourbon and cocoa malts in perfect balance, hints of vanilla and toasted coconut. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Bourbon comes on a bit after drinking, eventually a bit to forward, but overall a pretty damn good BA RIS here.

500mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of funky brett, tart blueberries, and light acidity. Flavour is quite blueberry-dominated, with lots of tart blueberry skins, followed by lightly funky brett, and more tart fruit skins. Nicely incorporated fruit with the brett. Very good.
