Remedy 6.7% Big dry hop bouquet of citra and cascade entices me to take a sip and... Big pine and citrus with an ascerbic Apple component but this is mostly about the hops. Ok.

Malice 6.8% Musty woodsy Apple aroma. This is very dry tart and white wine like with q cork & Apple flavor. Not my thing though once it warmed up more Apple character came though and boosted the overall score.

750mL bottle from Ernest, drunk 3/5/16.
Good clarity in this intensely no2 pencil yellow body with flaxen and white gold tints. White head atop even, with low retention, of course, but impressive nonetheless.
Soft golden apple-like sugars initially grace the nose, with very light wood adding depth. Never gains any applesauce-like mushiness or heavy cinnamon and while it’s obviously at least partially naturally fermented, as Ernest says, it’s low on the band-aid (though I love heavy band-aid in my ciders). Really balanced nose and clean, with no alcohol though quite oaky.
The flavor is lightly sweet, with tight carbonation creating a spritzy, highly drinkable mouthfeel and a dry, crisp, wooden finish. Toasted oak character builds up a bit too much over the course of my glass (and I only had 5 or 6 ounces), leaving a bit too much emphasis on that and not as much on the dry, crisp, yet juicy apple flavors. So that’s separating this from a 4+ cider for me, but otherwise this is right up there with the better stuff available.

Bottle at the DC Local Gathering on 8/1/2015. Clear whitish yellow. Aromas of bourbon, oak, light apple. Tastes of apples, light bourbon. Light body with a dry finish.

750ml bottle pours a clear, light gold with zero head. Nose has raw wood, vanilla, cake icing, apple juice. Flavor is apple juice sweet, some green vanilla, a bit cakey, some spice. Full bodied finish. Cool.

From a 75 cl bottle shared at the RB DC tasting Aug 1, 2015. Pours a clear almost water like. Aroma of oak. Flavors of crisp apples and a hint of bourbon.

Sampled at the brewery. This was by FAR by favorite. Pours a lightly hazy gold with some clinging white head. The nose has a wonderful blend of crisp apples, green apple skins, some juice, straw, a little lemon, some buttery oak, some wood savings. The barrel flavor really puts this over the top, instead of overpowering the apples it elevates them, plenty of tartness, some fruit sweetness too, quite woody (like the floor of a shop), some sawdust, some buttery oak, light white grape. Crisp and dry on the end. Excellent.
