sampled at Zythos 2017. Thnx for sharing , Ruben and Tim. Pours unclear blonde, hazy yeastyness. Smell is mild, bit yeasty. Touch bitterness. Taste is somewhat yeasty, malts. Mouthfilling sweetness. Yeasty ending.

The newest one in Brunn’s range of spice ales. I actually already tasted this in its preproduction phase last year, under the provisional working title of ’Léonneke’, which has now materialized in this spiced tripel. Thick, cobweb-lacing, off-white head, hazy peach blonde colour with slight ochre-ish tinge. Aroma of camomile, ripe peach, honey, dried orange peel, sweet white wine, soap, melting powder sugar, dry cookies and subtle but ethereal sweet-and-spicy notes of liquorish and star aniseed, with almost vanilla-like effect; more aromatic than I remember it was originally conceived, with less off-flavours (the first batch suffered a bit from DMS). Estery, fruity, sweet onset, peach, pineapple, some banana, honeyish malt sweet middle, soapy especially towards the end due to the spices (coriander especially, star aniseed as well), curaçao and liquorish remain largely absent, though they certainly contribute to the aromatic retronasal spiciness in the finish. Ends mostly sweet and spicy with a mild herbal hop bitter touch and some warming alcohol. Sweet and spicy tripels are not my personal cup of tea but within that range, I think this is quite well made, though perhaps just a tad too spicy for its own good.

Taste is huge plastic, banana, soap, sugar, rubbish, vegetable, chemical poor,... Taste is soap, chemical, green, vegetable,... Bleh,....

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is light phenolic. Toasted malty. Metallic, distinct phenolic. Dry and slight toasted malt. Dry phenolic finish.

Cloudy blond beer, creamy off-white head, very stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: malty start, grains, sweet impression, hay, cow fodder, banana, yeast. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of alcohol noticeable, pretty fruity, sweet, yeast, sugary. Aftertaste: more of the same with some almonds tossed in at the end. Soft bitterness in the finish.

Sampled @ Zythos Bier Festival 2017. Fast klare goldgelbe Farbe. Geruch ist mild getreidig malzig, leicht hopfig, metallisch. So ist auch der Geschmack, langweilig.

Bottle. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is estery, spicy yeasts. Taste is vanilla, sugar coating. Medium carbonation. Nice, but a bit too sweet.

At Zythos 2017. Pours almost clear yellow. Aroma is flowery and candy, mostly malty. Body is medium, rather sweet, honey leading into the palate. Medium sweet palate, still mostly honey. Quite good.

Spritzig herber, mild alkoholischer Antrunk. Mild würzig-herb, spritzig, rund. Nett. 10/8/7/8//8

10/06/2016 @home - 33cl bottle bought from brewer @ZBF. Clear dark amber bear with medium head, quickly fading. Nose is malts, yeast, lightly some herbs. Taste is sugary, boozy, some caramel, not much of spices to notice. Feeling is more like a overly sweet barleywine than a spice beer.
