13/05/2016 @home - 33cl bottle bought from the brewer #@ZBF 2016. Thick brown colour with nice light tanned head. Nose is dark malts, caramel, mocha. Taste is first dark malts some light sweet caramel, light coffee, nice mocha and milkchocolate. On warming up alcohol comes up annd finally overpowers. After all much better than expected after reading earlier ratings. One advice : DRINK THIS ICE COLD. Taste is much better when cold!!! And it’s not a stout but a Dubbel with coffee.

Murky brown with thin head. Aroma is faintly herbal. Flavour is malty and sweet with a light spiciness.

Sample @ Zythos’16, courtesy of and shared with the RB Belgian crew. Léger orangé, col beige. Arôme est centré sur le malté, léger grains concassés, houblons nobles avec un rétro levure belge assez consequent. Palais est trop épicé, surement de la levure, sucre résiduel avec une sorte de coriandre et feuilles bouillies.

Sample @ Zythos’16, courtesy of and shared with the RB Belgian crew. On reprend un peu la recette de la Fin mais avec plus de malt, le résultat est tjrs décevant. Malt cara pale, léger biscuité avec un côté céréales. Très peu en terme d’apport de ces fameuses herbes vikings.
