Description
Futtle was brought to life in 2019 by us, Lucy & Stephen, partners in all things life, work and beer.

Now, along with a small team, we make a range of organic beers that follow the seasons here on the edges of the coastal village of St Monans, in the East Neuk of Fife.

Inspired by our love of the farmhouse brewing tradition of Northern Europe, and the Scottish coastline we look out on, we have focused on brewing and blending rustic, nourishing, natural beers that reflect our location.

Love it! The water profile is very pronounced. Super organic. A unique brewery on the other side of the bay which I'd love to visit. Alas...

Can from Cork & Cask. Appearance - cloudy yellow with a foamy snow white head. Nose - elderflower, lemonade and light spice. Taste - elderflower again, candied lemon, yeasty like yoghurt. Dry, elderflower or coriander seed finish. Palate - light bodied, creamy middle and dry balanced finish. Overall - good beer.

Can from Cork & Cask. Appearance - very lively on opening, in fact you'd have to say semi-gusher. Then pale and cloudy yellow. The head has disappeared. Nose - elderflower, candied lemon and white pepper. Taste - candied lemon, cream and sweet spice, still something floral like elderflower. Palate - light bodied, dry and tangy middle and finish. Overall - didn't look great and gusher regrettable, but after that, an enjoyable beer.
