Many thanks to Hertie for sharing! Smooth sourish beginning. Fresh malty beginning, sweetish-smooth with hints of too much carbonation. Sourness, round fresh fruit, nice malty, not too deep. Nice.

One of the two beers launched when this micro brewery in Sinaai next to Sint-Niklaas in the Waasland region started up (in 2011). Thick, yellowish white head, deep orangey peach blonde colour, cloudy. Refreshing aroma of coriander, peach, lemon juice, walnuts, caramel, jute. Caramelly main taste, sweetish and a bit nutty, dried fruitiness, subtle dry-hopping, grassy bitterish finish, spiciness, aromatic. Lacked some body to my taste.

Honey beer with off-white, sticky, stable head and hazy amber colour with protein flakes floating around. Strong aroma of flowers, bitter honey and grapefruity hops, biscuit, cloves, soap; soft fruity taste, sweetish with light ’citrusness’, bready malts, some residual honey sweetness but subtle and in the end overpowered by an assertive, spicy, long and dry hop bitterness.

One of Domus Ignis’s first two beers, since 2010. Yellowish beige head, dark bronze colour with ruby hue. Aroma of meat broth, liquorice, candi sugar, pear, caramel, fried eggs. Soft palate with dark fruits, spicy and meaty accents, caramel, raisins, thinnish mouthfeel, pretty complex with some light roasted bitterness in the end as well as some mild herbal hops. Not bad, but it’s not going to change anything either.

750 ml bottle. Gusher. Pours a very dark brown with full head. Aromas of Xmas spice, and malt extract. Flavors of alcohol, raisins, red wine vinegar, and spice. Can’t really get the oak. Maybe some green wood... Can’t say I’d buy another bottle as it’s relatively expensive at 15 Euros.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, amber colour with a big and off-white foamy head. Belgian yeasty spice mixed up with cara-malt, candy sugar and slightly citric and herbal hops. Moderately sweet and delicately sour flavour, medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Slightly sugary and fruity (cara-)malty taste with hoppy spice in the background; mildly sweet and delicately acidic and tart finish. 10.III.14
