Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, moderate yeasty, exotic fruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110305]

Draught @ ZBF 2011 (zythos beer festival), Stadsfeestzaal St.-Niklaas, St.-Niklaas, Belgium.Clear dark brown amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, spicy, raisin. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, spicy - ginger - clove, pumpkin spice notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110305]

From tap at ZBF2011. Pours hazy dark orange with a small tan head. Aroma is mild spiced and slight yeasty. Sweet, caramelish and rather yeasty. Slight plastic touch. Spiced and dry bitter finish. Light phenolic touch too.

From tap at ZBF2011. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is spiced and dark malty, light roasted. Sweet malty, slight spiced and dark roasted malty. Spiced and dry malty finish. Simple dark and light spiced brew.

Bottled@Tuulensuu, Tampere. Deep amber colour, not much head. Aroma is fruits, mild spices, some slight sweet malts as well as alcohol. Flavour is quite much the same. Sweet, but still quite balanced.

Gushing to thick beige, irregular head over muddy dark brown beer. Sourish nose with obvious lactic acid, and a fine cacao-like touch. Infected - in the good way. Mix of cacao/chocolate and lactic acid, with some sweet spices, especially warming up. But the result is not quite Belgian chocolates, unfortunately. Creamy MF, yet only light to medium bodied - acid thinning? I hope I’m wrong, but - it tastes as if ... well, some brewers might claim they intended to make Oud Bruin... what the Dickens is a "Red tasting beer"????

Huge dense yellow head - very stable - over hazy orange beer. End of bottle amazing UFO collection. Markedly spicy nose, orange zeste, white candi sugar, some alcohol and yeastesters. Smells like an orange-based dessertsauce. BItter-spicy flavours; cray, rootspices, orange gingerbread and essentialy not-sweet. Pretty carbonated feel, medium bodied, creamy head. Rather original beer, reminds me of some Jamagne brews, in a less sweet package. Very nice for a first try.

A little cloudy dark brown beer with a red glare to it. Somewhat beige to off-white head, reduces quickly to a little fine laced collar at the rim of glass and beer. Aroma has some yeast, is a little moldy, very little dried fruits and caramel. Medium body with a certain crispness. Taste is quite subtle, but not watery. Chocolate, caramel and sour red berries. Aftertaste has more red berries, slightly roasted malts and a little caramel.

Taste is malty, some roasted malts kicking in with ripe fruits, pear maybe. Aftertaste is sparkling tartness with hops, ends pretty dry.
