4oz from flight at the brewery. Poured a dark caramel color with a small off-white head. Aroma was nutty, like a decent brown ale. Light chocolate, nutty malts. Light sweetness.

4oz from flight at the brewery. Poured a clear, yellow orange color with a small white head. Aroma was crisp, tasty hops. Earthy notes, light floral character. Decent, but not as exciting as some of their other offerings.

Can. Almost clear gold with a large but loose white head. Aroma of lemon pudding and blossoms, crackers, some grapefruit. Slightly drier than the grapefruit version I think, but again it only leans towards dry at the end. Some pepper and ginger at the end. No funk or mystery but solid refreshment.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is a nice tropical fruit/citrus hop that leaps out of the glass. Flavor is again a nice juicy fruit hop with some honey malt. Finish is dry and not much of the hop is left after the swallow, you get more of a wheat bread. This was a decent beer I was not expecting this to be as hoppy as it is.

Pint can into pint glass. Aroma of ginger and currents, like Christmas mince pies. Totally opaque with thin head. Full-bodied with an oily texture. Mouth-filling, it’s like drinking cake. Finish is dried fruit, spices and a raisin alcohol dryness. Great nightcap (in a pint!), really enjoyable.

Can in LA. Pours mostly clear orange-gold with a frothy, white head. Pithy citrus in the nose, peach. Light-medium sweet flavour with dry and crispy pale malts, mellow piney bitterness, rindy citrus. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more rindy citrus, pith, biscuit, nectarine, tangerine. Solid.

22nd May 2016, two 16oz cans at the Angles Stadium in Anaheim as they beat Baltimore O’s 10-2. Assume it was golden, no head to be seen either, as I drank the cans straight. Decent hop bite, both piney and mildly citrusy: I thought this OK, which is why I had two of them ($11.00 each).
