Bottle at RBSG Grand Tasting. Pours black with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is roasted malt and dank. Thick mouth, chocolate, roast, resin finish, very nice.

On tap at The Growler Guys, pours a clear faded yellow blonde with a medium white head. Aroma brings piney and herbal hops, with a biscuity backing. Flavour is very hoppy, with loads of piney hops, herbal notes and biscuity malt to back. More like an IPA than a simple pale ale. Strong flavours and very good balance. Very good.

On tap at Apex, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings piney and herbal hops, with a little bit of biscuity malt. Flavour is super piney, resinous and skunky, with just enough biscuity malt. Super hoppy on the flavour without any lingering astringency. Excellent.

Growler thanks to TaborTime. Pours clear deep amber; confused here. Large creamy beige head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is pine, dankness, caramel, bready. Flavor is medium sweet and light plus bitter. Medium body. Meh. I guess I need to reconfirm this one, I am really confused why half the ratings call it amber/copper, and the other half call it golden.

Bottle, pours a dark brown with a small beige head. Nose brings out toasted mat and faint dry hopping. Flavour is well-balanced, with roasted malt, dry hops and dusty wood. Not the most invigorating beer, but well-balanced. Decent beer.

On tap at Apex, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out light crisp floral hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is dry and crisp, with floral hops and crisp biscuity malt. Very dry, crisp and astringent. Nothing overly special but very well-made.

On tap at Bottleworks, pours a clear golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of piney hops and biscuity malt to back. Flavour is wonderful, with loads of piney hops that coat the palate, a little bit of resin as well. Super piney and hoppy, but not much bitterness which is surprising. Exactly how I love my IIPAs. Fantastic stuff.

Draught at Lardo, Portland; 7.7% ABV
Dark brown color. Among Stouts, this one expresses a good malty character, and some chocolate, to go hand in hand with the roasted malts.
Very good.

Draught at Beer Mongers, Portland
Black color with brownish head. Plenty of roasty malts and resiny hops, but not ashy, it’s moderately sweet, full bodied, and the imperial dimension is a good choice for a CDA. The aroma is also a bit cheesy, which I appreciate.
Excellent.

Light amber with a thin head. Hops are papaya - I just assume this is good for my stomach - and everything has that smooth sweet thing that is yummy for a pint or two. So it’s a good one for the fruit character, and just how bright it is.
