Founded in 2002, we are independent, family-owned and very proud to be based in the oldest working cider mill in the UK, breathing life back into the old building. Our home in the heart of Devon is the perfect micro-climate to grow cider apples and we are blessed with some of the finest bittersweet apple orchards in the world. We press and ferment whole juice from the finest locally sourced fruit, never from concentrate. No artificial flavours or aromas, simply the best natural ingredients, and then let it age to perfection. No shortcuts. The result? Delicious, beautifully balanced and naturally refreshing cider.

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. A very pale yellow green coloured pour with no head. Aroma is mefium sweet apple, plastic, sugary apple. Apple juice. Flavour is composed of mellow apple juice, little plastic artificial, medium sweet apple juice. Easy going. Palate is semi sweet, mellow, not much to it.

BIAB at Tanners Hall Darlington JDW 2017 cider fest. Golden colour, no head and aroma of mellow apple & hay. Taste is juicy apple, sweetish with tart fruity, ginger and spice notes. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry spicey finish. Quite OK.

Keg at Brewdog Camden. A clear pink petrol coloured pour with no head. Aroma is sweet apple sugar, tangy, gooseberry. Flavour is composed of semi sweet apple, berry, pear, hints of funk. Palate is crisp, medium sweet, crisp finish. Not bad.

Bottle from Morrisons drunk at home. Clear deep pink colour lasting pink head. Hedgerow bramble aroma. Aroma a little of fly spray Not too sweet. Drinkable enough. Fly spray runs through it as a dryness. There is some apple tannin no doubt. Too fizzy. As i say not overly sweet with some definite character

Taste is fruity apple, sweetish, with brandy, wood, boozy, bitter earthy tannins. Medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, drying bitter tannic finish. Quite drinkable.

Keg at BD Shoreditch, 18/05/17. Lighty yellow with a faint pinkish blush to it. Nose is sweet apple, straw, grains, faint spice trail. Taste comprises crisp apple, light hedgerow, straw, grains, tannins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent enough apple jus.

Bottle at home very different cider. Darker gold pour more beer looking due to aging. Nose is oaky and applesauce. Tastes of vanilla, oak, some barley and straw, red apples. Light alcohol presence not overly carbonated. Rather tannic.
