Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - orange to cherry red. Foamy pinkish-white head. Nose - raspberry, surprisingly light funk note and generally creamy. Taste - ripe raspberry and still some funk. Palate - light bodied, dry and tangy middle with a lightly funky finish. Overall - was not expecting the funk. Enjoyable if not completely on style.

Hazy golden beer with a white bubbly head. Big peaty aroma, some citrus too. Smokiness from the whisky comes through up front in the flavour too but it's not overpowering, has some zestiness again, a little wood, some herbal spiciness too. Maybe could go into the non-whisky flavours a little more but this isn't bad at all, quite interesting and given the other flavours aren't big it's well balanced to prevent the Caol Ila taking over.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 24/09/24. Mahogany brown with a beige cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is fruit cake, brown sugar spattering, dates, figs, toffee, light smoke, barrel whisper. Taste comprises dried fruits, raisins, spice, burnt toffee, mellow whisky barrel, light smoke, caramelised sugars. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a warming kiss of alcohol. Sips fair easy for 14.5 and makes for a solid nip.

Can split at the farewell to Monica tasting, Watford, thanks to Fergus 20/09/24. Clear golden with a just off white head that thins to the edge. Nose is sweet malts, orange peel, grass, soft malts, melon. Taste comprises orange zest, grass, pineapple, melon, papaya, hop spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with grassy hop bitterness. Passable DIPA a little flabby and disjointed.
