Cask @ The Anvil, Shifnal. Clear golden with a creamy-smooth head. Smoothish pale ale, somewhat hoppy but feels good in the palate at a very suppable strength.

24/8/2023. Cask at the 31st East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival. Pours clear pale gold with a small bubbly/frothy white head. Aroma is hoppy, tropical, citrus, grapefruit, hay, light herb. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness, light tartness. Moderate body, slightly watery, average to soft carbonation.

Cask at Flowerpot, Derby. Pours a murky chestnut with no head whatsoever. There’s a vague aroms of malts, cereals and nuts. In the mouth the alcoholic strength is immediately obvious. Accompanied by flavours of dried apricots, figs, nuts and ginger. Finish is is slightly dry and very boozy ! Excellent.

Cask at BeerHeadz Nottingham, 07/07/23. golden copper with a good sized off white cap ... lacing develops. Nose is biscuit, grass, herb, straw, dull fruits. Taste comprises hedgerow, herb, biscuit, stewed fruits. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close finished with some leafy bitterness. Tidy enough cask offering.

Cask at Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford. Pours almost black with a small foamy cream head and good lacing. The aroma has chocolate and fudge. In the mouth it is sweet and smooth. Caramel is the dominant flavour, but there’s also toffee and malts plus traces of lemon and butterscotch. This is decent.
