Description
Lenton Lane began brewing in 2014 under the name Frontier, after taking over the brewing plant at the Flower Pot pub, Derby. Lenton Lane changed its name in 2016 and relocated to a purpose-built brewery in Nottingham using a 10-barrel plant.

Beers brewed with flavourful malts and plentiful amounts of good hops. Beers with character, brewed by award winning brewers, crafted for beer drinkers.

We're small enough for our beers to be brewed with taste and flavour - not cost as a bottom line. Big enough to deliver consistent, premium, quality cask and bottled real ales.

Cask at Alexandra, Derby. Pours “bitter brown” with a small off-white head and good lacing. The aroma has malts and autumn fruits plus a hint of nuts. In the mouth it is sweet and malty to start (if a little watery), but later some bitterness comes through. Flavour is mainly malts and caramel with traces of honey and berry fruits. Finish is slightly fruity. It’s not bad, but I really didn’t get much sense of cherries at any stage.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a lemon yellow with minimal white head. Not much of an aroma just some vague maltiness. In the mouth it is superficially sweet but with some bitterness underneath. Plenty of malts and hops in the flavour, but also gtrians and melon. Finish is quite dry. This is decent.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a golden amber with minimal off-white head. The aroma is a mixture of malt and hops. In the mouth it is spicy and hoppy with floral hops gradually giving way to more bitter ones. Slightly creamy texture with oats, mango and kiwi. Finish is dry with some signs of alcoholic strength – but generally thia is well hidden. Nice – the sort of IPA I like !

Flavoured with peaches, wheat and grain. Hop fruity ending, rounded mouthfeel. Refreshing and pretty fair. (Nottingham 11.10.2022).
