Description
Two Flints was born from a fascination for all aspects of the Brewing Process. A Journey that began in 2017 in owner Alex Kerr's apartment in Singapore on a Homebrewing Kit.

Two Flints are a modern-focused, independent brewery nestled under a railway arch under Windsor Central Station. We believe in the balance between heritage and innovation, nuance and drinkability; revelling in the open-minded nature of modern, seasonal brewing and the sensory experiences that come with it. With this ethos, we offer a rotating beer list that balances our quest for hop-forward innovation with classic styles, taking inspiration from the brewers and beers that have come before us.

Our mission is to bring the latest innovations in modern beer drawing from influences on our travels around the world. Our ultimate aim is to be one of the most innovative and exciting breweries in the UK.

Can. A light haze on this yellowish gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, a good fine minerally crispness. Light smooth pale malts, a pleasant light creamy sweetness. Can't recall a solo NZH106 brew before, so a doff of the hat to Azvex. Well, there is Mosaic here but, I can hardly taste it. Good cooling pine leads to a complex array of hop fruits. Light passion fruit, certainly as much, if not more, than 95% of the Strata hopped beers I have had. Very soft skunk, well buried. The rest is a complex array of hop fruits, soft stone fruits, a touch of gooseberry, a little white strawberry. Mild tropical fruits. Ubiquitous cooling pine overlay with a mild hop spice nip. Crisp finish. Rather nice. This hop tastes like Strata with bells on. That inevitably leads to the question, what will be the point of Strata going forward? Nice beer. Layered hop goodness.

Can. A mild to medium haze on this gold beer, small and short lived pale cream colour head. Light palate, smooth start, developing decent fine minerally carbonation on the back end. Smooth light malt base, a light creamy sweetness. The NZH109 hops deliver soft passion fruit and a kind creamy melon. Light bright citrus underneath. Kinda tropical punch on the finish. Cooling pine throughout and a little hop spice on the end. Nice hop, nice dipa.

440ml can from Craft Metropolis. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a short-lived, fizzy tan head. The aroma is roasty, coconut, herbal. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, earthy, herbal, dark chocolate, warm boozy alcohol bitter palate. Full bodied with average carbonation and a bubbly mouthfeel.

Tap at Waterloo Tap. Darkest cola brown..Thin foamy dark beige head. Aroma is tangy - ginger and other spices and dusty coffee. The flavour is spice focused and I actually don't like it - too intrusive and iverhsadpws the coffee. Underlying sweetness including milky coconut. Thicker bodies. Creamy. Soft-fizzy carbonation.Long. Long dry astringent finish. OTT adjuncts.

Can. A light haze on this yellowish gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, a very mild dryness, a good fine minerally crispness. Light bodied pale malts, adequately sweet. Light bright crisp cooling pine. Good hop fruits, juicy. Bright juicy stone fruits, a little tropical fruits. Mild citrus. Crisp cooling pine finish. Thought this would be good and pleased I was right. Bright, clean, juicy and splendidly hop fruity. What 'Neck Oil' wants to be when it grows up.

Can. A mild haze on this gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, smooth start, good fine minerally crisp finish. Smooth malts, as you would expect from a West Coaster, a mild sweetness. Good cooling pine. Mellow skunk. A little hop spice. Crisp and slightly tangy citrus. A little stone fruits and, I believe, Nelson adding some slight winey brightness. Crisp finish brings the skunk forward a few more steps. Good crisp clean West Coaster, I style I'm not a huge fan of, until I drink a brew like this. My only gripe is, I am none the wiser what NZH105 is all about.
