A black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with quite a lot of coffee as well as lots of over ripe fruits and prunes, and lighter notes of alcohol and berries. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of both coffee, cocoa, and berries, leading to a dry roasted end.

Bottled at RBESG-06, GTN. Dark brown topped by a tan head. Spices and beef-stock in the aroma makes it quite unusual, but nice. Chockolate and coffee in the flavor, and some vegetable-notes. Dry and full mouthfeel. Quite a lot alcohol for a beer at 6.3% ABV. (060826)

Bottled at Bishops Arms, Gothenburg. Jet black with a nice tan head. Truely a dark beer. Lots of aroma in it, mocha, chockolate, coffee, roasted malt, alcohol-notes, ripe apples and dried fruits. Chocolate and coffee dominates the flavor, there really is a lot of it, and it has a long dryish, coffee-bitter finish, feeling almost dusty. Creamy mouthfeel. Lovely! Thx Roger. (060825)

Cask at Bishops Arms, Gothenburg. (Sold as Äkta Slättöl.) Clear, golden-colored beer with a small, white topping. Grapefruit-hoppy aroma with some pine. Fruity flavor as well, with pineapple, pine, resin and orange. The bitterness in the finish is resiny and almost astringent. Nice, but a bit one-dimentional. (060825)
