Aroma is moderate to heavy star anis, moderate honey. Initial flavor is moderate sweet and citrus tart, finish flavor is moderate with a long to average duration, honey - star anis, dry. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. Arome is quit spicy but flavor is very balanced and easy to drink. [20150227]

Bottled@fonefan. Reddish orange colour with a small head. Aroma is rhubarb, some lingonberry as well as mild cherry notes as well as some quite sour wooden notes. Flavour is very similar, but allso has some slight sweetish notes from the berries. Nice tart finish.

Bottled@fonefan. Hazy pale red colour with a small white head, that lasts for a bit. Aroma is rhubarb, some sour wood and mild red berries. Flavour is quite similar, with also some slight vinegary tartness to it and all this with a rather big dry palate.

Bottled@fonefan. Yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is berries, some sour wood. Flavour is really tart and sour wooden notes with some berries and rather acidic tones as well. Very balanced and easy to drink though!

Bottled@fonefan (thanks tkrjukoff). Reddish amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruits, raisins, wood, alcohol and some nice sweetness. Flavour is alcohol, raisins, wood, some vanilla and mild fruity sweetness as well. Very nice and tasty Barley Wine.
