Bottle at the DC Gathering. Thanks DCLawyer. Dark brown with beige head. Aromas of caramel, toffee. Tastes of caramel, chocolate, toffee, roast. Medium body with a dry finish.

Tasting at Matt’s
Black color with medium sized beige head. Earthy aroma; there is some dark chocolate, and sourness, like chocolate coated fruits. The sour character is stronger than anything else, but the dark chocolate and roasty malt flavor is also there; the barrel is more evident in the aroma; the final is rather dry.
A lot of character in this beer, bold, very good.

Waxed bottle poured at Matt’s. Double waxed in fact. Huge thanks to Terminus for this one. Dark reddish black pour with a big foam tan head. Huge dark fruit, big pucker. Not sure on the barrel here, but the oak comes through nice. Fantastic sour for sure.

22 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out tart red fruits, some wild yeast, oak, and a little vinegar. Flavour is very complex, with loads of wild yeasts, oak barrel, a touch of balsamic, and tart dark fruits. Super complex and wild. Very cohesive and with many dimensions. Excellent.

Poured from can thanks Willrunforbeer. Black pour with a nice 2 finger tan head. Aromas of coffee chocolate and hints of dark fruit. Taste follows aroma with a hint of licorice bitterness in the finish. Solid.

12oz bottle. Pretty much going for macro lager, corona crossover appeal I suppose. Pretty bland, straight up. Husky, grainy feel, maybe a touch of corn? Significantly better than a macro lager, better ingredients, pretty fresh. OK for what it is.
