Hazy amber color. Aroma and taste have both some malt and caramel, with some light hop character at the end. Drinkable but simple.

12/02/06 Walk the Line Barleywine Festival, Dunedin, FL. 2005 vintage. This beer poured copper with off white head. The aroma was fresh sweetness that seemed to be a combination of sweet caramel malts and grapefruit hoppiness. The flavor was light in the malt department with a sweet caramel taste along with a more dominant sweet and slightly tart orange citrus hops
12/02/06 Walk the Line Barleywine Festival, Dunedin, FL. 2002 vintage. This one had a milder hop aroma. The flavor was very good with a bit stronger dark fruit note and smoother hops. Very drinkable.

Bottle from cbkschubert, Thanks Craig! Nose of tart citrus and banana esters along with the wheat.Very hazy gold with a fizzy-medium tall, white head; flavor showing lots of bananas, whaety malts and a little citrus. i think it is underrated, and the 3 raters who had it before me ( all with tons of ratings) seem to agree.

12 oz bottle Pours out a nut brown. With off white head. The aroma has bitterness to it as well as the beer. Not good and still have not found anything to match Rogue HazelNut Brown Nectar.

Bottle Pours a slightly hazy dark redish brown with a sandy head and spotty lacing. Astringent slightly sour leathery aroma. Flavor tastes burnt and sour. Lightly roasted woody thin and sour. I hope this is not how it is supposd to be. A por showing for a style that I generally am forgiving of. Very soft carbonation and a smooth albiet thin palate.

Thanks to Whaleman for sending this one my way! This pours a medium amber color with a touch of haze. Minimal off-white head. Light, fruity malt/hop aroma. Well balanced between the malt sweetness and hop bitterness. Light palate with a low hop level would make this a very drinkable brew for those who find IPA’s to be too heavily hopped.
