Bottle. Black brown with small tan head. Molasses caramel flavor. I thought I detected a slight hint of spice, but I think it was really a carbonation tingle. Tastes of roasted malt, coffe, and a light burnt finish.

12oz bottle pours clear mahogany with short lived tan to dark tan head. The aroma has a brief pulse of roasty to burnt malts then it moves toward solid dark fruity esters. The taste is pretty smooth and sweet with a thin layer of dark fruitiness from sort of dark grapes, sherry and prunes amid sweet malts. It ends with a bit of dark roasted malts heading toward faint burnt malts that dry it out some into the finish.

Bottled@omhper. Hazy deep orangeish amber colour with small slightly off-white head. Aroma is fruits, wood, some herbs as well as spices. Also some mild notes of alcohol. Flavour is fruits, toffee, alcohol, quite strong on the hoppyness as well. Also mild spicyness lurking in it and together with alcohol giving a slight burn in the finish.

Bottled, thanks Cletus! Hazy copper colour, small head. Peppery nose. Swee with near full body. Fruity crystal malt forms a rounded body. White pepper is arguably the most noteworthy flavour. Fairly low bitterness. A potent beer where they don’t hide behind massive amounts of hops. No masterpiece perhaps, but well made and pleasant.

10th October 2008. GABF. I must of had the lite version as it was clocking in at a mere 10.0% abv! Hazy brown beer.Champagne crisp palate. Plenty of raspberry - finishes slightly bitter, still with that champagne crispness and dryness and with yet more raspberry.

10th October 2008. GABF. Hazy brown beer. Aromatic and slighlty sour malt. A finish that is both dry and a little sour.
