[33cl can from Aldi, Bracknell.] A straw coloured pour with a loose white head; tropical fruit aroma; thin in the mouth with a crisp tropical fruit taste and a slight fizz in the throat; then a dry finish. Instantly forgettable.

Can from Aldi Bristol and drunk at home. Clear amber colour lasting cream head. Grapefruit flavour. Some pale malt. Grapefruit aroma. It's not got much bitterness. Bit artificial Grapefruit flavour.

Bottle. Amber with a cm of white head that lasts OK. Aroma of apples, paper, grass. Sweet with moderate but mean earthy and grassy bitterness. Cheap sometimes isn't.

On the day I'm drinking this cider, in 1921 the Jaffa Riots in Palestine began. That city gave its name to a prominent orange, and the orange in this isn't far off in taste, but it does feel slightly artificial as a fruited cider finishing with a sort of citrus bitterness. Ok, but as its only available in a four pack I'm not that keen on having to drink all four.

Bottle from Aldi in Benfeld. Clear golden. Soft caramel, a hint of yeast, dry apple peel, hay, light earthy, chalk. Medium sweet, very light sour. Solid medium bodied. Not great, but way better than Aldi beer.

Can from Aldi Bristol drunk with Nelson in Maastricht. So supposed to be Punk ipa. So it's far away . A bit more neipa character than Punk. Good fruit. Good drinkability. Yep it's a decent mid 5 percent ipa. Happily drink this. Very drinkable. Decent bitterness on the finish. Fine.

I wonder what the average amount of 'Accept Cookies' button presses in the UK there are on the internet nowadays since the law change took place? As the York City FC website says 'In Yorkshire they call them biscuits!' This biscuit beer is mostly caramel, a huge aroma of this prepares you for a similar heavy taste, probably making it unsessionable as it has a richness about it, but superb if you enjoy this taste.

In the film Weekend At Bernie's it was a stuntsman used to hit the bouys' in the towing of the corpse scene on the boat, apparently he broke some ribs. My weekend of beers' starts here with this upper end budget supermarket effort, which is probably the best description as it's pretty good, but there's certainly a lot better in this style. It's actually quite a hoppy effort with a decent breadiness to it. Aroma is good here with pale malts and yeast.
